Privacy Policy

Last updated August 17, 2026

Yamadori is a quiet place, and that includes your data. The app contains no advertising, no ad tracking, and nothing that follows you across other apps. We collect the minimum needed to run your nursery, plus anonymous gameplay statistics to help us balance the game — described below, nothing hidden.

What we collect

  • Account information. An email address and password, used to create and sign in to your account. Your password is handled by our authentication provider and stored only in hashed form — we can never see it. If you sign in with Apple, we receive a sign-in identifier and an email address (possibly Apple's private relay address) — we never see your Apple ID password.
  • Agreement records. We record which version of our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy you accepted and when, and we keep these records — including after account deletion — as proof of agreement.
  • Your nursery save. The state of your trees and progress (species, shapes, pruning history, items) is stored on your device first, and synced to our cloud so your nursery survives a lost phone and can follow you to a new one.
  • Gameplay statistics. The app reports anonymous play data — device model and iOS version, a device-scoped identifier, session start and end, and progression events — to our analytics provider so we can balance the game. Details in the Analytics section below.

What we don't collect

  • No location, contacts, photos, health data, or device fingerprinting.
  • No advertising identifiers and no ad networks.
  • No behavioral tracking across apps, and no advertising SDKs.
  • No payment details — purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment information.

How your data is used

Your email and save data are used for exactly one purpose: operating your account and keeping your nursery safe and in sync. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it to build profiles. Ever.

Analytics

To balance the game and understand where players get stuck, the App sends gameplay events to GameAnalytics ApS, a Danish company that processes this data for us in the European Union. What's sent: your device model and OS version, a device-scoped identifier specific to Yamadori on your device (not Apple's advertising identifier), your IP address as a technical part of the connection, session start and end times, and gameplay progression events. None of this is linked to your account — your email and user ID never leave our own systems. It's used only in aggregate, for game balance and retention analysis, never for advertising, and it never tracks you across other apps or websites. GameAnalytics retains this data for up to 12 months, after which it is permanently anonymized or deleted; their own policy is at gameanalytics.com/privacy.

Where it lives

Cloud data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Supabase, which processes it on our behalf under access controls that restrict each account's data to its owner. Your save also lives locally on your device.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and cloud save data directly in the app: tap the profile icon on the home page, then choose “delete my account.” You can also email us at the address below and we'll take care of it promptly and completely. Your local save is removed by deleting the app. One exception: agreement records (which versions of our terms you accepted, and when) are retained as proof of agreement.

Children

Yamadori is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
